Fluent Sour Diesel Flower

Sour Diesel is a strain we’ve probably all heard of by this point: it’s a sativa with reportedly “dreamy, cerebral, fast-acting and energizing” effects according to Leafly. Its parent strains are Chemdawg and Super Skunk.

Fluent is a dispensary or MMTC (Medical Marijuana Treatment Center) in Florida with 27 operating locations in the state. My city has two locations. I hadn’t visited Fluent in a while, so I felt like it was time.

When it came to making product selections, Sour Diesel just seemed like a good pick because it is such an iconic strain, and I tend to really enjoy sativas.

The flower

This flower came in at 18.45% THC and 0.043% CBD. It was $45 for an eighth (3.5 grams).

It has a pungent smell that reminds me of diesel and pine. The color is a frosty bright green with light orange hairs. The nugs are pretty small, with some medium sized ones included.

The effects

I’d say this sativa has uplifting and energizing effects for me. I’ve been smoking it exclusively today so far and I’m feeling wide awake and ready to keep on going with my day. I can see why this strain is popular. It’s kind of a perfect sativa.

Cannabist whole flower – Platinum Gorilla, Painter’s OG, and Red Bullz

In my experience, Cannabist brings some excellent flower to the Florida medical marijuana market. Whether you’re looking for a sativa, indica or hybrid, chances are Cannabist will have some great options for you.

I recently tried three different strains: Platinum Gorilla, Painter’s OG, and Red Bullz.

Red Bullz

I reviewed the strain Red Bullz in this post, so feel free to go and check that out.

Platinum Gorilla

Platinum Gorilla is a pure indica, according to Cannabist’s website. I find that this strain has a relaxing effect on the body, locking you to the couch after smoking or vaping it. The mental effect is also relaxing. THC: 16.66%

Painter’s OG

Painter’s OG is some of the best looking flower I’ve bought from a dispensary in a while. The nugs are big, and well-trimmed. This is a cross between OG Kush x Afghan x Bubba’s Gift and it’s an indica-dominant strain. Terpenes in this strain include Linalool, Beta-Caryophyllene, Bisabolol, and Limonene. The effects this strain has on me are mildly uplifting, with reduced anxiety and increased energy. I have been enjoying this strain. THC: 15.6%

Cannabist CO2 Vape Cartridge – Red Bullz

CO2 vape cartridge from Cannabist in the strain Red Bullz

After trying the CO2 vape cartridge from Cannabist in the strain Tangie & Cream, I knew I needed to try more of the CO2 cartridges. The next one I tried was Red Bullz, a hybrid strain bred from parent strains Grape Gasoline and White Runtz. The description of this strain on Cannabist’s website says the “scent is reminiscent of spicy vanilla and fruit with grape undertones with a taste is sweet and gassy with hints of black pepper.”

To me, the taste of this cartridge’s vapor is earthy and slightly fruity, with those hints of black pepper shining through. The effects I feel from this cartridge live somewhere between uplifted energy and mental relaxation. My thoughts slow down and I feel like I can get through any task that comes my way when I use this cart. If you’re the type of person who can be medicated on the job, this would be a good workday strain. I could also see this being great for late nights if you want to stay up and enjoy the night, or work late.

Red Bullz is good for day or night

You can’t go wrong with cannabis-derived terpenes, which the CO2 vapes from Cannabist have.
